Footprint Group takes project management seriously. Virtually everything we do is a project of one form or another. To demonstrate our commitment al of the Directors of the business have been trained in PRINCE2. Having been trained we ensure that we do not inflict an impenetrable on our projects! So if you don’t know your PID (Project Initiation Documentation) from your SB (Stage Boundary) there is no need to worry.
Applying the Principles
The approach we adopt is to apply the principles of good project management, and simply apply the appropriate tools and controls for scale and scope of each project we undertake. For large scale projects this can involve a full implementation of PRINCE2. For smaller projects, however, we agree with the client the appropriate controls and processes that need to be used. The benefit of this approach is the clarity of expectation, communication and accountability that goes with a well-run project without some of the paperwork that can get in the way of progress on a task.
