Having worked in Blue Chip and plc environments for a number of years, the creation of Footprint Group presented a unique opportunity to help organisations develop their own performance, through a small team with unparalleled knowledge and experience in the sales arena. Being able to make a difference, and help organisations and people perform at new levels is an incredibly rewarding opportunity.
David started his career with Ford Motor Company, undertaking a number of engineering, project management and sales and marketing assignments within the business operating at both a local and European level. He left Ford to gain retail experience “at the sharp end”. These experiences lead him to understand the vital impact that people performance plays within any organisation as the major determinant of its success.
Having moved to a specialist Learning and Development agency, he led a team that developed programmes of international repute, working across North America, Europe and Russia. In addition, he successfully developed a partnership with Loughborough University to deliver a wide range of training solutions for sales organisations, creating a unique link between academia, and “real world” expertise. Prior to Footprint Group, David joined one of the UK’s largest training providers, and was appointed to its executive board with operational responsibility for its people, clients and Learning and Skills Council funding contracts.
As well as significant expertise in management consulting, including a range of interim assignments, David now specialises in the development of business planning tools, structures and processes within clients’ businesses, and the critical alignment between these processes and people development and performance management.
