As one of the founding partners of Footprint Group, Ian has finally fulfilled his ambition to create an environment within which to use the skills and experiences he has acquired these past 20 years to help organisations and individuals achieve their potential. Having been joined at Footprint Group by like minded individuals, Ian is revelling in the challenge of helping his clients improve profitability through measureable improvements in people performance and operational efficiency.
Ian has enjoyed a successful career in senior management, having worked in the UK and internationally for brands such as Thomas Cook, American Express, RAC Motoring Services, Pearson Group, National Car Rental and Carter & Carter Group plc. In recent years, Ian has focused on the value of learning and development as a key component of business strategy and, as a consequence, has acquired vast experience in this area, having built up a multi million pound international outsourcing business in his most recent role. In addition to his practical experience, Ian has also completed a management development programme at Cranfield Business School.
Looking forward, Ian comments "The current economic downturn has resulted in the most challenging business climate I have experienced in my career. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that businesses leverage their structures, processes and, most importantly, people in order to achieve new levels of performance."
